Proseal Spray Foam Insulation
Proseal Spray Foam is an energy-efficient way to improve a home’s thermal performance and reduce energy costs by filling gaps in the walls, floors, ceiling and roof and creating a tightly sealed home envelope. Up to 56% of a home’s energy usage is wasted due to poor and uninsulated building envelopes that allow heat loss.
In addition to energy savings, a well-insulated home will increase structural integrity and create a healthier indoor environment by reducing dust mites and mold. Icynene’s low-VOC closed-cell spray foam is an ideal choice for meeting today’s building code requirements of a minimum air tightness of 3/5 ACH, which is the lowest air leakage possible for homes in Climate Zones 1 and 2.
Energy Efficiency with Proseal Spray Foam Insulation
Choosing the right spray foam insulation starts with finding the right contractor. Spray foam contractors have specialized rigs that allow them to accurately mix and spray the liquid polyurethane foam that is sprayed onto the attic floor or the rim joist in new construction or into an existing home, pole barn or commercial structure. This ensures that the product is mixed properly and sprayed precisely where it’s needed — without leaving air pockets or areas of dead space.
In addition to having the highest performing insulation, Icynene uses a blowing agent called HFO that is free of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and hydrofluoroolefins, or HFCs, which have a Global Warming Potential (GWP) that is 3,400 times greater than carbon dioxide on a per-kilo basis. The GWP of closed-cell spray foam containing this blowing agent is lower than that of any other insulation product on the market today.
